Banca Comerciala Romana is, with its 10 million customers, the biggest bank in Romania. BCR is also the biggest member (in terms of number of customers and accounts) of the ERSTE BANK group. Our task was to provide quality assurance for the implementation of a DWH/BI system, including post-production support.

Provide quality assurance for DWH/BI implementation and post-production support to the new DWH/BI solution.
Lower risks, costs and time commitment during the handover of the DWH/BI solution from the supplier to the customer, last but not least minimize errors in the production system.
Search for and monitoring of possible errors and checks on their correction during the warranty period, review of documentation, creating a Service Level Agreement (SLA), configuring or setting up communications between the IT team and business users, documenting the application handover, documentation of operational and procedural processes, reporting to company management.
The application runs smoothly without need for further repairs and is fully managed by the customer’s internal resources. The Quality Assurance project was completed in the allotted timeframe and for agreed costs. The supplier sorted out all problems during the warranty period. No hidden defects were found after the warranty period had expired.
Thorough documentation of the application allows for its further development/improvement and expansion. Communications processes have been successfully established. All key technicians and business users have been trained so they can do their work without need for external help. This has led to reduction of costs for additional human resources.
